The Edmonton Motor Show will run from April 14-17, giving residents of the area a great opportunity to see cars that they likely wouldn't otherwise have had the chance to view.
Semi Slicks was on scene to check out some of the attractions coming to Alberta's capital.
The big ticket item everyone is getting excited about is the Lexus LFA, and for good reason. The sleek 550 horsepower monster with triple exhaust is the exact same vehicle as the one featured on Top Gear.
That's not the only reason to go though (although it is a good one).
There are many other exotic cars as well.
Aston Martin has their DBS, Rapide and Vantage on display, while Ferrari is bringing the 458 Italia into the city for the first time.
There are also plenty of Maseratis, Lamborghinis (including the Gallardo Superleggera), a Spyker and a brand new completely restyled Lotus Evora.
There is some other interesting stuff too.
Fiat is being reintroduced to Canada with the new Fiat 500, while Scion motor company is being introduced to the great white north for the first time. Ford has a fun little simulation race which puts you behind the wheel of the new F-150 with EcoBoost, and although it is nothing like driving the real thing it is good for a laugh.
***On a side note, I did the course in 53 seconds, so see if you can beat that (it shouldn't be too much of a problem).***
Those wanting to see what environmentally friendly alternatives car companies are offering are also in luck.
The Chevrolet Volt is on hand, as are the Nissan Leaf and the Mitsubshi Mi-EV, all of which are electric cars.
One final thing to look forward to is the classic car auction which will run over the weekend. There are over 120 classic cars waiting for a new owner. It starts on Friday and continues on into Sunday.
