This is the Mercedes Brabus E V12. It has a 6.3 litre V12 engine that produces 789 horsepower and over 1000 lb ft of torque (1047). It has a claimed top speed of 230 mph and it is the fastest saloon car in the world.
Or is it?
BMW obviously wasn't pleased with having the rival German company holding the record for the world's fastest four seater.

So they released what can only be described as a Brabus beater. They call it the G-Power M6 Hurricane RR and it has BMW's own supercharged 5.0 L V10 packing a head exploding 800 horsepower. BMW say that it can hit 231 mph. That is 1 mph faster than the claimed speed of the Brabus.
Can you ask for a closer race?
Obviously in real life situations nobody would ever actually get going that fast, but let's be honest, you would still rather be in the fastest saloon in the world than the second fastest.
Either way, I would love to see a drag between these two and I'll be very interested to see which one will actually lay claim to the coveted "fastest saloon" title.
